Application for stickers
Ensure the area for application is thoroughly cleaned. Sometimes it helps to use an alcohol based cleaner.
Have a soft cloth and something with a flat edge to hand ie. Credit card or ruler
Find the area you want to place your sticker and mark with a piece of tape.
Remove the sticker with care from its backing paper, ensuring you don’t place fingerprints over it.
Place the base of the sticker onto the area, above your marked tape area, and slowly using the credit card, smooth the sticker over the applied surface.
With the cloth, rub softly over the sticker to remove any bubbles.
Instructions for NI family vinyl decal application
NI Family Stickers are very simple to apply to most surfaces. They will arrive on a thick, sturdy paper backing and covered with a clear sticky paper.
Wash the surface of the area where you will be applying the decal (outside of car window). Air bubbles are usually caused by the surface being too hot, or small bits of dirt remaining.
For precision placement you should use some masking tape to act as a guide when placing the decal. Put the masking tape in a straight line and simply remove once the decal has been applied.
Place decal face down on flat surface. Rub firmly with the ‘heel of you palm’ over the backing paper. This helps to stick the decal to the clear tape.
Slowly peel back the thick paper backing paper at a sharp angle. Do this very carefully taking care not to lift parts of the decal off the clear sticky backing. If there is TEXT it may be necessary to re-stick the decal with the backing paper a few times until it all remains on the clear side. Using your fingernail can help with this. Just take your time!
PLACEMENT AREA. It is not recommended for windows that roll up/down, or near wipers front or back, or the actual car paintwork.
The bottom of the decals will have a straight edge for easy alignment. Visually align the decal, press down top two corners to mounting surface, making sure there are no creases or wrinkles.
Working from the centre out, use a soft cloth and rub firmly. Be sure your decal is applied flat with no creases as this may cause it not to stick properly.
Starting from the edge, very carefully peel away the clear sticky tape, keeping it at a sharp angle and holding it low to the surface. If a bit of the decal does come up with the tape, simply smooth the tape back over it, press and smooth, and try again. Leave the car at least 48 hours before washing.

To remove stickers/decals from car window
- Start to remove the decal/sticker by picking an edge or corner of the decal.
- Pull back the vinyl – it will start to break apart and start pulling away from the window. Using the end of a plastic ruler will do this very quickly for you.
- If you find there is a bit of sticky resin left on the window, simply use a bit of rubbing alcohol on cotton wool or spray some WD-40 over it and that will remove it.
- The window will be clean and ready for another decal to be placed!
